Local Spotlight: Animal Welfare Association

The Animal Welfare Association (AWA) truly cares about animals. Their nonprofit welfare organization is the oldest and largest clinic, adoption center, and no-kill animal center in South Jersey and their focus is clear: They want to end animal suffering, promote the importance of the bond between humans and animals, and improve the roles of animals in our society. AWA’s Capital Campaign

Local Spotlight: Animal Welfare AssociationWith 2018 being their 70th year in business, AWA wants to work even harder this year to help the animals and support their future. Their capital campaign is to build a new adoption and education center to serve as home base to their unique and expert array of programs, and they want to do it by 2020.

Their new facility will be a perfect place for both helping animals and creating a stronger bond between people and pets. It will include special bunny garden boxes, dog and cat wings, a Real Life Room for puppy relaxation after training, a shop filled with AWA swag, and a community training room—just to name a few.

To help make this advancement in animal welfare happen, they need your help. You can stay up to date on their campaign, as well as donate and volunteer to help by visiting them today.

  • Pet Clinic – AWA also provides high-quality, low-cost pet care for your furry family members. They offer pet wellness exams, spaying and neutering, and even have vaccine days.
  • Events – To help AWA’s mission, as well as their capital campaign, they hold monthly events for anyone to take part in. Some include races, doggy fun days, adoption events, and much more.
  • Education – With their Humane Education program, you can learn more about your pets and how to care for them in the best way possible. These are great for new pet owners, children, and anyone wanting to discover how to improve their pet’s lives.
