stpatricksdaybeer(c)Since 1771, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been a cherished event in the city of Philadelphia, with something new to offer every year. This year’s parade will mark the 247th parade and while all the amazing floats remain to be seen, the parade committee has already put together a full calendar of events.

About This Year’s Parade

Every year, the parade committee chooses a new theme for the holiday’s festivities. The theme of this year’s parade is, “St. Patrick, Protect and Guide Our Police Officers”. For this reason, Grand Marshal Barney Boyce has filled the 2017 Ring of Honor with some of Philadelphia’s finest boys in blue.
