At Cherry Hill Nissan, the holiday season is one of our favorite times to get out in the community and spend time with loved ones. Check out the following celebrations, shows, and events around Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill, and Collingswood that you can take your entire family to below.
Adventure Aquarium’s Christmas Celebration
Through December 31, the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ, will host its annual Christmas Celebration—It’s Christmas with an underwater twist. Surprise: Santa’s a natural deep sea diver! Keep your eyes peeled for a red scuba suit in the 760,000-gallon Ocean Realm Dive Theater. Watch St. Nick show off his backstroke as he swims by stingrays, turtles, and even hammerhead sharks.
This nautical take on a yuletide celebration also features a holiday dance party hosted by the aquarium’s mascot, Gill the Shark. Watch a fantastic light display as little ones groove to holiday tunes with Gill and his sea creature buddies and snow swirls inside the Rotunda.
Kids will also have the chance for a meet and greet with some of their favorite holiday characters. From Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to Bumble the Snow Monster, there will be plenty of opportunities for handshakes, high-fives, and autographs.
Brunch with Santa at the Camden Children’s Garden
On December 12 and 19, the Camden Children’s Garden will host their annual brunch with the big guy. This year, Brunch with Santa will be catered by the Tortilla Press Cantina. Diners will have the opportunity to take a holiday ride on the museum’s carousel and train and grab a printed photo with Santa after their meal. There will be other holiday activities and treats made just for kids.
Admission for this event is $20 for Camden Children’s Garden members, $26 for non-members, and $5 for children under 2 years of age.
Voorhees Ballet Theatre Presents The Nutcracker
This year, the Voorhees Ballet Theatre is putting on a performance of The Nutcracker for the region’s families and fans at Voorhees Middle School. The performance set will take place on December 11 at 7 pm, December 12 at 5 pm, and December 13 at 2 pm.
Enjoy a wonderful interpretation of this classic holiday show by the area’s top up-and-coming dancers. Afterward, sip a hot cup of tea with the Sugar Plum Fairy and indulge in tea time treats from the Land of Sweets.
Santa Comes to Mount Laurel
Santa Claus will make his appearance in Mount Laurel on December 17 at 4 pm at the Mount Laurel Community Center. Watch your children marvel as St. Nick says hi to all of the youngsters in the area. Kids will also be able to take part in creating special holiday crafts, savoring Christmas-themed snacks, and singing along to traditional tunes.
The holiday season is here! Cherry Hill, Mount Laurel, and Collingswood area residents should mark their calendars to attend these great local events now.
