The holiday season is slowly creeping up on all of us as the weather grows colder and snow forecasts for this winter are finally broadcasted. The Roxey Ballet Company of Lambertville, NJ, willl perform its 20th anniversary annual production of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker this year. It will be held at The College of New Jersey in Ewing on November 29 at 3 pm, November 30 at 3 pm, December 1 at 10 am, December 6 at 3 pm, and December 7 at 3 pm.
With a cast of more than 150 of dancers and actors, this certainly will be a show both you and your children will enjoy. This show is complete with everlasting classical music, amazing special effects, beautiful costumes, and an outstanding and classic story.
Inspired by the hit movie and book The Polar Express, you and your children can take a ride on the Polar Express train. The trip that’s set to the motion picture soundtrack is complete with hot chocolate and cookies that will be served on the train. There will also be a reading of the Polar Express book, and Santa will make an appearance to greet the children aboard. And just like in the movie and book, children who believe will also receive their own sleigh bell.
This event will take place on November 29 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the Delaware River Railroad Excursions in Phillipsburg, NJ. Tickets cost $29.
Perhaps one of the most popular movies for children today is Disney’s Frozen. This year, the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ, will host Disney on Ice: Frozen for the week of Thanksgiving, from November 25 to November 30. Based on the Academy Award–winning movie, you and your kids can watch at the world of Frozen comes to life with extraordinary special effects and dazzling skating set to songs from the soundtrack, such as “Let it Go.”
