Fall is one of our favorite times of year at Cherry Hill Nissan. We love enjoying the cool autumn air and beautiful fall foliage by going to the different outdoor festivals and events in the Cherry Hill region. There’s lots to do all over the area, so we assembled a guide of things we don’t want to miss!
The Garden State Discovery Museum at 2040 Springdale Road has a whole host of family events scheduled for the fall season:
- Pumpkin Palooza is an activity-based event being coordinated with nearby Springdale Farms. On October 3 and 4 from 11 am to 5 pm, head to the museum or the farm for an afternoon of traditional fall festivities at both locations. Activities include pony rides, fun in a moon bounce, trips through corn mazes, pumpkin painting, and fall crafts.
- The museum’s annual Fairy Ball is a big hit with children and parents. Wear your royal attire and get ready for a magical night! Mark your calendar to participate in wing-fluttering fun on the evening of October 16.
In addition to their participation in Pumpkin Palooza, Springdale Farms offers pumpkin picking hayrides that run several times daily through the end of the Halloween season.
Those looking to pick their own apples to stock in school lunches, bake into tasty homemade pies, or coat in sweet caramel can head to Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford, NJ. Johnson’s fourth annual Apple of My Eye Weekend Festival is held at the peak of apple plucking season (September 12 and 13). Enjoy live music to soundtrack your visit, food vendors on-site, and tons of goodies in the JC market. On the second festival day, car buffs of all ages can check out hundreds of vintage cars stationed at the farm!
Cherry Hill’s Living Heritage, the Barclay Farmstead, has tours scheduled throughout fall, with times open on Wednesdays and the first Sunday of the month. Tours are free to residents of Cherry Hill Township.
For a perfect way to take the chill out of a fall day, take the family to Sahara Sam’s Oasis Indoor Water Parkfor swimming, surfing, and splashing. Contact them for open hours or to plan a private event.
Maugeri Farms features non-scary family fun during the fall during their October Harvest Days. Features include a hayride to pick your own pumpkin, a hay bale maze, and a tiny tot treasure hunt. The bountiful goods of harvest will be available and there will also be fresh apple cider.
American Legion Post 372 is putting on their annual family fun day this fall. Family Day at the Legion offers tasty BBQ and cookout delights, fun games and activities, and a DJ.
